I dont know what young girls back to school look would cost £3,605 though the todays look is really totes school girl with her Mulberry Satchel to carry all those heavy books, those absolutely amazing cat eye glasses for all that reading, the motivational jumper letting her know that she is a "A", the fab red jacket to keep her warm when she is walking to school in that chilly fall air, she as very responsible shoes and then a pleated leather skirt for that classic school girl look but with a leather edge to it! So really I dont see how she isnt getting top marks with this outfit! Also the outfit is got that historical touch as its very 60s school girl think carey mulligan in the education meets geek chic then it meets gossip girl! Total Cost - £3,605
Another week another scandalous Karl Lagerfied comment, and this time involving Pippa Middleton! What he had to say was quite bitchy as always, he allegedly said "kate middleton has a nice silhouette and she is the right girl for that boy. I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties. On the other hand, her sister struggles. I don't like the sister's face. She should only show her back" so basically karl loves everything bout kate and thinks Pippa is ugly but has a nice bum! Don't know if I agree with Karl on this one cause Im totes in love with pippa and I can sort of get what he means about her face because at times it doesn't look good but most of the time she's fabulously styled and looks totes stunning, her look is so "London Posh Girl" and i'm totes in love with that! I always take much pleasure in reading Karls quotes if he published a book of them totes gonna be best seller ;)
Tonight Karl Lagerfield will be unveiling his olympic pop up collection that will be on sale at seldfriges and will surely be some fashionistas olympic wardrobe for sure! I have a very small sneak little peak of 3 fab pieces featuring cool jacket,killer skinny print jeans and the signature karl collar sequenced of course! So far they look very rock n roll and totes glam but i cant really see the olympics except for the golden sequence collar! Im sure when the rest of the collection will be unveiled there will be the karl glove and prob several little black dresses much like his net a porter collection but a slightly different color and textile theme! Items range from £95 to £325 which is quite reasonable :D
Mets most daring?  Marc Jacobs has spoken about this controversial Met Ball outfit choice a black lace shirt dress paired with white boxer shorts and has revealed that, despite making more of an impact on the red carpet than Beyoncé's sheer gown or even Anja Rubik's thigh-baring split, he didn't do it for the attention.
"It's just a lace dress" Jacobs said on the event's livestream as he arrived on the red carpet. "I just didn't wanna wear a tuxedo and be boring."
And - far from being boring - the spring/summer 2012 Commes des Garcons look also honoured the two heroes of the night, he revealed.
"I think Miuccia Prada is such a celebration of the unconventional and so it felt like, appropriate, somehow. They are two women who I have always loved the work of; I mean Schiaparelli is one of my all-time heroes and Miuccia Prada continues to be a hero of mine. I am looking forward to seeing the exhibition."
Super Model settlement  Linda Evangelista and Francois-Henri Pinault settled their child support battle, although neither party has revealed the details of the settlement. They handed details over to a magistrate yesterday in order that the deal can be actioned.
"Everybody's glad for the sake and the benefit of the child that it's done," Pinault's lawyer David Aronson told the New York Postoutside the Manhattan Family Court . "He has gone a long way toward meeting those original demands," a source close to the negotiation said of Pinault, who Evangelista took to court asking for $46,000 (£28,000) a month for son Augustin's upkeep.
Evangelista, who took to the stand on Friday and revealed that her career had slowed in recent years, was due to give evidence for a second time yesterday before the agreement was reached. Pinault and Evangelista are not expected to be in court today as the agreement is confirmed by the judge, and are likely instead to be represented by their lawyers.
Rosie's Dress  Rosie Hufington Whitley is selling her red Antonio Berardi dress for charity the gown that made her look like a real-life Jessica Rabbit. she is donating the piece which she wore in June last year for the New York premiere of Transformers: Dark of the Moon for the Tunnel of Love auction, held on May 29, which raises money for the British Heart Foundation.
The sale, which is open to the public, will also feature donations from Alexa Chung; a pair of Mulberry burgundy trousers, bag, shoes and coat worn by the star to a Mulberry dinner during London Fashion Week; art by Damien Hirst and Sir Peter Blake; and a Stephen Webster 18-carat white gold necklace, modelled by Daisy Lowe - who is also the face of the event. All proceeds from the evening will go towards the charity's Mending Broken Hearts appeal, to fund new research.
Barney's saved (new york sighs with relief)  Barneys has been saved from its debts by financiers Richard C Perry and Ronald W Burkle, who bought the US department store on Monday. Perry's hedge fund firm, Perry Capital, purchased a majority stake, while Burkle's company, Yucaipa Companies, will own a minority stake. Istithmar, the Dubai-based business that bought the store in 2007, will also still hold a stake
"Financially, we've been moving in the right direction," Barneys chief executive Mark Lee told the New York Times. "What we haven't had is a balance sheet that made perfect sense."
The deal prevents the store from having to file for bankruptcy, as it did 1996. In 2007, Istithmar bought the company for £465.45 million, but the chain fell victim to the recession in 2008 and advisors were hired to help keep it afloat. Its new owners will relieve Barneys of debts of $590 million (£366 million).
Karl On Hollande  Karl Lagerfield has offered his verdict on France's new Socialist President François Hollande or more specifically on his girlfriend, political journalist Valérie Trierweiler.
"As a triumph, it's quite modest," said Lagerfeld, noting that the new French President won 52 per cent of the public vote. "I like girlfriend. I think she's very handsome, very elegant."
Fellow French design luminary Christian Lacroix also opened up about Hollande's appointment.
"I can't hide my relief and happiness. No government helped fashion more than the Socialists at that time [recalling the last Socialist regime of François Mitterrand, who served from 1981 to 1995]" said Lacroix, before criticising Nicolas Sarkozy's rule. "How tragic-comic was the government in 2009 when the couture house fell into French Chapter 11? I am sure they had good intentions, but egos and politics were stronger than workers' future. I do expect a more humanist way of governing: courageous, fair and, above all, creative and innovative, without any fatalism. I do think things can be seen and managed another way."
French couturier Bouchra Jarrar added his thoughts about France's new First Lady.
"As for her style, she makes me think of a heroine in a Claude Chabrol movie," Jarrar told WWD. "She has an air of Marie-France Pisier, which pleases me a lot and could inspire me."
Farhi Change  Nicole Farhi has revealed Francois Steiner as its new interim CEO with immediate effect, following the departure of Niki Scordi late last week. Steiner - formerly managing director of Sonia Rykiel, CEO of Kenzo and president of Louis Vuitton Europe said in a statement today that he is looking forward to the challenge.
"I am thrilled to be working with Nicole, her team and Kelso Place to drive this business forward," he said today. "With the new flagship store and plans for UK and international expansion, this is a very exciting time for the brand."
Brazillian boy!  Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio has given birth to her second child, a son, Noah Phoenix, in the Brazilian city of Florianopolis. The news was confirmed on the Facebook page of her mother-in-law, Michelle Mazur, who wrote "Grandson just born in Brazil!" on her page yesterday.
"Well, the day just arrived and we couldn't be more happy!!! Noah Phoenix was born yesterday afternoon and already stole our hearts. Anja is a proud big sister now and we are so thankful he is with us," Ambrosio wrote on her Facebook page
Ambrosio was in Brazil this weekend, where her daughter Anja was also born, for a baby shower hosted by her close friends. The model Tweeted several pictures of herself, complete with bare tummy, on the beach and celebrating with her guests as she prepared for her son's arrival, Tweeting: "So much fun at my little boy's baby shower! Now just have to wait for him to arrive!" and "Beautiful day! Exciting week ahead!" CONGRATS BABE!!!

Rich list  Mulberry has helped its owner Christina Ong to an incredible year, which saw her rise 53 places to number 61 on The Sunday Times Rich List. The Singaporean retailer - who also owns franchises of Emporio Armani, Prada and Donna Karan - made £1.2 billion last year thanks to a 70 per cent growth at Mulberry, according to the list which is sometimes deemed more hype and less truth by the people who are featured upon it.
It's not been such a great year in retail for Sir Philip and Lady Green, who own Arcadia; and George and Galen Weston, who own Selfridges. Green's wealth dropped £900 million this year leaving him at number 17, whilst the Westons lost around £100 million, although still scraped into the top 10 with earnings of £5.9 billion.
The Richest Couples List features several from the style set - including Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell (£665 million), Sir Paul and Lady Smith (£280 million), David and Victoria Beckham(£190 million), and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas (£185 million).

Louboutins on show  Christian Louboutin opens his first ever UK retrospective this evening with a private view and after-party that is expected to be attended by a host of famous fashion names - including Daphne Guinness, Dita Von Teese and Yasmin Le Bon. Von Teese will become one of the showcase's centrepieces the Burlesque dancer will feature as a life-size hologram wearing a pair of the designer's glittering creations as she dances. The display will open to the public tomorrow.
Abbey Lee Kershaw  Abbey Lee Kershaw is about to add acting to her already extensive repertoire. The model and singer - who also has a band called Our Mountain with boyfriend Matthew Hutchinson - has secured a part in the fourth installment of the Mad Maxseries alongside Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, set to start shooting later this month - but the Aussie beauty is no overnight success.
Discovered in a CoverGirl search in her native Australia in 2004, Kershaw made her catwalk debut in 2008 in New York before she was booked as a Gucci exclusive for the autumn/winter 2008-09 show. She featured in campaigns for H&M and Levi's early in her career and was soon the face of Gucci's Flora fragrance; an accolade that opened many more doors.
Tattooed and pierced, Kershaw is no ordinary pretty face; she occupies a model niche of beautiful otherness along with the industry's edgier faces - and bodies - like Freja Beha Erichsen and Erin Wasson, and this has attracted many designer fans.

Her career hasn't been without its setbacks - a well-managed tumble at the spring/summer 2009 Rodarte show in New York was followed by a fainting spell at Alexander McQueen's show later the same season thanks to a too-tight leather corset,but none of these mishaps deterred designers from using her. And her edgy looks haven't stopped more mainstream brands from booking her: she even appeared in the 2008 Victoria's Secret show, although she may have added a few tattoos since then.
Coco on Karl  Despite Karl Lagerfeld's past protestations that Coco Chanel would have hated his work at the fashion house that she founded, the label's current chairman - Bruno Pavlosky - thinks quite the opposite.
"I think she'd say she is very proud," said Pavlosky. "She should be very satisfied with the way Karl has reinterpreted the things she created."
The Chanel helmer has previously said that Coco failed to keep her brand modern and relevant (she famously dismissed the idea if miniskirts and jeans), a skill Pavlosky believes Lagerfeld has in abundance
"He's amazing. Karl just keeps coming up with new things, and he has an impressive ability to bring together talented people and get them working as a team," Pavlosky told Japanese newspaper The Daily Yomiuri. "He shows no sign of slowing down. That's why the thought of changing our head designer hasn't even crossed my mind. I think the match between Karl and Chanel and our energy has helped us put together new collections and many revolutionary events."
Kris talks Raf  Perhaps surprisingly, Dior Homme creative director Kris Van Assche doesn't know fellow Belgian designer Raf Simons - who is now his womenswear counterpart at Dior - but he is looking forward to working with him.
"I think it's great news. Let's just wait and see how he decides to express himself. We've never been in the same place at the same time so we never got close," he told WWD. "But I hugely admire his work."
But he dismissed comparisons of the two which stem from their shared national heritage: "I think it's a bit of a cliché, no?"
When Poppy met Sienna  Sienna Miller and Poppy Delevingne may be firm friends now - the pair even lived together in New York - but eight years ago Delevingne was one of the legions of girls in thrall of the actress' famously bohemian style.
"I remember when Sienna Miller's first Voguecover came out, just after she was in Alfie and before I knew her. She looked so dreamy in white and she had feathers in her hair and that whole boho thing going on," Delevingne told vogue." She was totally my heroine at the time, I just wanted to emulate her. And now of course we're friends and I'm always telling her how I wanted to be just like her - she probably finds it quite scary."

Chloe Award  Chloe has named Canadian designer Steven Tai as the winner of its inaugural design prize, as part of the Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography - which took place at the weekend. The prize fund is worth €15,000 (£12,197), and provides valuable exposure to rising talent.
Also at the festival, Finnish design trio Siiri Raasakka, Tiia Siren and Elina Laitenen were awarded the L'Oreal Professionnel-sponsored prize, having impressed a fashion jury - including Yohji Yamamoto and i-D founder Terry Jones - with a rave culture-inspired men's collection.
Iron Lady Exhibit  You can see the costumes worn by Meryl Streep during Oscar-winning film The Iron Lady up close in a new exhibition, opening on Wednesday at the London Film Museum. The showcase, which will open to the public for the next six weeks, will feature outfits seen on both the young and older Margaret Thatcher - including her famous pearls, two-piece skirt suits and prim blouses.
Karl Lagerfeld understands decor as well as he knows fashion. The premises for his new signature collections Lagerfeld and Karl are an opulently minimal series of salons in an hôtel particulier on the Left Bank, so it made sense that the food for the dinner party he hosted on Wednesday night to launch the lines should also focus on the bare opulent essentials: caviar, foie gras, and lobster, with a logo-fied iPad as a takeaway. One of the T-shirts in his Karl range features a fanciful self-portrait with the handwritten message "I Love Gossip." Plenty of that in a room full of fashion people, though I spent much of the night talking about obscure Eastern European films with the encyclopedically informed Anja Rubik. How often do you get the chance to have a real talk with anyone about Dusan Makavejev's scatological Sweet Movie? Especially while chunks of foie gras are drifting back and forth under your nose.
"It's a new mix," murmured Lagerfeld to the camera at the end of his film. Right on cue, Azealia Banks appeared to perform. The neighborhood is "nice," so she didn't get to play more than two songs, but a ruckus was duly raised, and the hair of the haute bourgeoisie peering down into the yard from their windows was surely curled (presuming they could understand her four-letter wordplay). From caviar to c-you-know-what…It may have been a new mix, but it was the same old polymath Karl.
